“ Is it worth the wait and high prices? Maybe it depends on what you get. We tried their: $6.50 Bacon, chive, cheese scone - I know scones are supposed to be on the dry side but this was like a rock. It tasted better after I tasted it at home and smeared butter all over it. I would've like to see more bacon and would've liked to taste more chive flavor $7.50 chocolate poppyseed coffee cake -- now THIS WAS DIVINE! Reminds me of chocolate babka but better. Each layer had a delicious dark chocolate yumminess with a hint of poppyseed. It was not too sweet and oh lord I did not want to share this one -- delicious! Wait in line was about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Service was professional and friendly. Ambiance is obviously upscale but casual. Lots of people were hanging out in the dining area. The self service bar has all the amenities you need. ”
“ I finally visited the infamous Tartine Bakery and it exceeded my expectations. Of course the line was out the door however it went by incredibly quickly and next thing we know we were ordering. Tartine currently produces one of the best breads in SF however their pastries and sandwiches are absolutely insane as well. Their fennel Gruyère danish was amazing and genius. Amazing ingredients, especially when combined. The pressed pastrami was so much bigger than expected and had everything you expect out of a good pastrami; Their signature crispy, caramelized, airy sourdough, smoky and tender pastrami. Of course to top it off you need to order an almond croissant which reminds me of the croissants in Paris; flaky, sweet and filled to the brim with marzipan. Tartine is an absolute must when visiting SF. ”
“ Whether you're planning a picnic at Dolores park or you're roaming around in Mission, or want to have the yummiest breads of your life, visit Tartine! I had matcha latte, egg sandwich, plain croissant and pain au chocolat. All so flavorful and amazing! Lines are long(10-15 mins) over weekends morning but the vibe is great! ”
“ Heard good things about Tartine so wanted to give them a try. Pretty long line on a Sunday around noon. Maybe 20-30 people in front of us. We ordered: frangipane croissant (almond) $7.25 ea morning bun $6.25 ea avocado tartine $18.50 to go bag $0.25 Almond croissant was delicious, lots of almonds. Morning bun not preferred...a bit on the dry side...some citrus flavor that I didn't really like. Avocado toast was great...very pricey though. Be careful...it did cut up the insides of my mouth! Parking is absolutely terrible here...probably took 15-20 min. ”
“ Stopped by on a rainy Saturday afternoon and a lot of their baked goods were already gone. First time trying the morning bun, and I thought it was ok, most likely because it's been out of the oven for a few hours by then. Also very little space and not enough seats to sit down FYI! ”
